Is my donation tax deductible?
We are Registered Training Organisation. All staff are full time volunteers and we receive no Government funding. We train young and old people from across the globe and currently have 20 full time staff. These include people from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, South Korea, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, We also have boarders from Iraq (refugee) Sweden, Africa, Fiji, who are studying at various Universities around Canberra. We currently have a family from Egypt who are immigrants seeking employment and we are providing temporary accommodation.
We host indigenous schools from Darwin as well as other school groups from around the Australia and internationally. We recently hosted 50 young men from Fiji, who were here for the Rugby Sevens programme. We have many family groups stay as well with quite young children from 1 month through to 10 years ago Each Sunday, the local South Korean church hold a service in our lecture room, also using our kitchen facilities for lunch and there are up to 15 children here at that time.
We are a Missionary training facility as well as Teaching English as a Second Language school and run a Community Development programme which curriculum has been accepted by Mission Heart and University of the Streets here is Canberra. This programme will be implemented in Papua New Guinea soon as well as Hati, helping those in poverty to gain skills to assist in climbing out of poverty.
We run a Community Garden as well as a low income pantry helping those in the community to purchase food and personal items at low cost and we give away fresh vegetables and fruit to those in need.
