Grant-making

Charities need to be strong and sustainable to allow them to provide their invaluable services in our local community. Our annual granting program, informed through engagement with charities, government and donors, reflects the priorities of need in our community.

Hands Across Canberra supports programs that seek to engage and serve the community members who need assistance the most.

In our seven years, we have donated over $2.5 million to over 50 projects aimed at making a difference to some of our most vulnerable people.

With access to additional funds, Hands Across Canberra will expand its granting activities to include social impact investing, social innovation and other progressive initiatives.

Hands Across Canberra provides regular grants to support projects undertaken by Canberra community service organisations.

The 2018 Project Support Grant round closed on 21 May 2018.

Charities need to be strong and sustainable to allow them to continuously provide their invaluable services to our local communities. This workshop will give your organisation all the information you need to access important funding.

This workshop will help you to make sense of complex jargon, identify the requirements of an application and more!

About our workshops:
These free, practical workshops explore key facets in the NGO area and will provide your charity with some of the tools to help you thrive, rather than just survive.

We are big believers in collaboration and in sharing ideas and best practice, so if you want to network, share, learn, and are committed to start to create an action plan, then these workshop are for you.
