Every year the ACT Office for Women celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD), held on 8 March, by honouring women who have made an outstanding contribution to the lives of women and girls in the ACT.
Hands Across Canberra and the Chief Minister’s Charitable Fund grant more than $280,000 to 30 projects in support of local community organisations this Spring
At a time when our community is still recovering from the impacts of COVID restrictions, the Chief Minister’s Charitable Fund in partnership with Hands Across Canberra, announced today more than $280,000 in grant funds. The funds have helped award approximately 30 projects; which brings the organisations total injection this year at just over $1.5 million, three times what it was last year.
New Canberra Initiative Tackles Youth Homelessness: $200,000 available for the ‘Pathways Challenge’
Canberra Innovation Network, The Snow Foundation, Hands Across Canberra and the Mill House Ventures, are pioneering a new and innovative business model. This new pragmatic approach has been designed to engage the youth homelessness sector. A Pathways Challenge delivered in a hackathon style will encourage members of the community to demonstrate their ideas collaboratively and have the opportunity to receive a portion of the available $200,000.
